hi guys,

Right, long story short have an EFI unit and (most of the) wiring from a 2.0i sohc sierra and put it in a capri, i get a spark at all four plugs, plugs are wet so they have fuel, have setup the timing as per the haynes manual for a sierra and the hall effect distirbutor (no vacuum pipe) and it will not idle; it sort of semi starts then dies, if i put my foot on on the throttle it idles slightly about 1500 but i get backfire through the intake. Have also tried moving the distributor base but only makes the problem worse, ie: wont start or makes idle worse. Main running around 3000rpm it sounds ok but lower end and idle is terrible. Have tried the octane adjustment wires (earthing them) but has made no difference.
If anyone has any ideas i am more than willing to try anything at the minute ( apart from setting it on fire, which is close anyway)

The wiring diagram below is what i have connected up, again anything anyone can spot that would cause problems please let me know.
Orange is connected, black is not because i dont have it.
Also dont have an airflow meter? would this cause the above problems???
