and theres alot of more modern cars that are the same so old fords are not really any different its how you care for it.
as chris said if you buy one and if its a gooden if you changed your mind about it a year on you wont have lost any money if you decide to sell up good ones will hold there value

Buy a real tidy one, wax oil it to death and there's no reason why it couldn't be used everyday. I've seen an unrestored, standard S1 do 250k on original running gear as it was well looked after and maintained properly
