ST220s are lower than 'regular' Mondeos, and the dampers are firmer. If he lowers it to the same amount as yours on stock dampers the handling will take a turn for the worse. I've driven lots of cars lowered over standard springs and they pretty much all exhibit the same 'choppy' ride.

Sure it's doable, but it's not a good idea.
