dropping my mk3 mondeo
Hey guys,
thinking about lowering my mk3 mondeo. Whats the best amount to lower it by to get more of striking look but still letting me clear speedbumps.

If you get springs not dampers you will have very poor handling and the car will be very 'choppy' over uneven roads - even dangerously so.
The OE dampers are designed to work with a certain length spring and it's very bad practice to fit just lowering springs. Ideally get matched springs and dampers.
Unless you go nuts there will be no fouling issues, even with 18s.

i've got the PI springs fitted with the standard ST220 shocks with no issues,
they've been on for nearly 2yrs now and it still handles perfectly, i got 8"x19" wheels
fitted with 235/35/19 tyres and no rubbing at all, 50mm will be fine mate, i'm in
wales and the roads dont get much worse than here lol.

Sure it's doable, but it's not a good idea.

Spanner monkey
My old TDCi before and after, I used the Ford spec -30mm St TDCi Eibach springs, I found them too hard.
Before
After
I've thought about Lowering my ST Tdci that i have now but the ride is too nice to spoil IMO

Get the ebach set. Good progressive springs and a sensible drop at a great price
