Hi folks,

Just a quick query. I've seen a car that I fancy buying as a runabout, problem is the owner can't find the log book. I've sussed it out and its all legit etc, problem being the car hasn't got any tax on it.

As I'd need to get it taxed for purchase (the only off street parking I've got is my garage and my Merc's in there, don't fancy parking it on the side of the road for a while either!), would a DVLA local office be able to tax it without a log book, or am I screwed until I apply for and receive a new one?
