I would weld the numbers back in, grind the welds down, filler and paint - will make it look factory then. It could be a new floor section was welded in and then the numbers were crudely rivetted in.
Thats the thing she is the most solid MK2 ive seen for years..
Its been tidied outside abit at some point but the structural side of her is mint.
Thats my thinking, repair for rust..probs cut from a scrapper in a yard, i believe they aint allowed to sell nowt with id on?
My local wont even sell me a set of clocks from a MK1 fez.
Amazing how many say just repair an sell..bet the law would love me if i done that
