I popped the F20 fuse (was 10 amp) and disconnected the battery for good measure.

Left it for a while, then restarted the car. Let it tickover for a while, took it for a quick run up the road (god I wish my TDCi got up to temp as quick!!) and it ticks over absolutely perfectly!
