The main problem i had was that once there loads of lube on there the bushed pushed them selves out the drop link. used sockets, vice and moles grips etc but still no joy so decided to do what i explained above.

@James - Did think of drilling the bush but decided against it because i didn't want it to be loose and wanted them to be a tight fit like you said above. I think the issue is due to raised section of the mounting lug being to large for the bush to push over.
