To make 280bhp on an ST205, you will need a panel filter, full service and a boost controller to run 1.1bar... add a full exhaust, a de-cat and you'll be around 300bhp. Get a standalone aftermarket ECU fitted and mapped and you'll be running c320bhp... you can't reflash the standard ECU, so it does need to be replaced if you want it mapped.
In all fairness your probably right grant, quite a few people on mr2oc said there was a difference in the cores, but most of em wouldn't know one end of a spanner from the next, mine came with a wrc cooler on it so didnt have any reason to look into an upgrade

or is it the st185 chargecoolers i'm getting confused with? normal vs carlos sainz version?
