i hate the veedub crap, but a golf/corrado vr6 made all the right noises (and a superb sound at that), but at least they had a good bit of poke for what they where back in the day, and they do make great engines currently!! but wtf are honda playing at

Japanese manufacturers were always ahead of their rivals in the late 80's/90's, hence a lot of Jap engines being some of the most tuneable ever made.
