hi guys im new to the forum an just bought my car a few month ago an ave enjoyed the drive until this problem has popped up.
its a wierd 1 this as the car will ave its fine days but then will struggle with a big flat spot from 1500 rpm to about 3000rpm. there is no torque from the engine whatsover at times an its wierd because if i clutch it an rev it up to 7000rpm an the drive from idle, all the power will be back there. all the mixtures on each plug all seem fine but there is 1 problem i ave found. there is a sensor under the spark plug cover. well ive took connection off an inside the electrics seem to fill with oil an im avin to clean this alot. im not sure if this is stopping the engine from sensing somethin but ive read the vvt can go out of timing an i hope its not this. ive tried finding this replacement sensor but had no luck. anybody else has this problem. sorry for going on but tried to explain as close as i can. its an 03 st170.
