The remote start feature on the Clifford (or any other alarm system) will invalidate any Thatcham Cat 1 or Cat 2 security rating as there must be no user adjustable or override facility on a Cat 1 or Cat 2 system. This will include permanent valet modes (hence the one-time only feature on Cat 1 systems), remote start (as this overrides the built-in immobilisation circuits) and some other items.
