Default refurbishing alloy wheels

when we got the wifes ST it had been 'tidied' up a bit at the garage for the sale. one of these fantastic improvements were to quickly spray the alloys at the areas where they had been curbed and scraped. now, they really arent too badly curbed but because of the aerosol spray on bits of them they look really shitty and dont shine up well at these areas. i was gonna get them rufurbished but tbh i dont think theyd be too bad looking if i could get the aerosol off them, any how she'll likey ding them again anyway!! so, whats the best way of removing the spray off them so theyre back to the original finish?? if i can get them cleaned up i might not need to get them fully refurbed, just a tidy up that i can do myself.

cheers
