Replace the VSS, can't say it any more times!
If the engine rattles then thats a seperate mechanical problem!
Is it actually overheating, losing coolant? If not then stop trying to fix something that isn't broken!

I am going to change vss cant get one till monday but I just spoken to a mobile macanic and when I said it woz hunting and when u turn the heated window on it sounds like it stops he said have another look for an air leak so im going to tri that again and air noise in water bottle he said thats the thermostate needs a new one
