You couldn't be more wrong imo.

No brake upgrades.
Engine upgrades done in stages as opposed to individual parts. (cams, valves, ignition)
Wheel sizes do not change, which affects handling in forza. (wheel diameter and width)
Dynamic tyre walls in forza that flex in turns, larger profile tyres giving more roll.
Tire pressures? not in GT5
Rolling starts to a race?
There is nothing anal about GT5. Its all very basic. A fun game, but no way a "simulator"


Simulators are like R Factor and GTR, where even the amount of fuel in your tank can affect lap times. Having to manually start your engine before warm up and qualifying. Adjustable rev limiters, 3 section tire temperatures, water temp, oil temp etc etc..... Thats a simulator.
