Mine had an aftermarket Sony unit fitted that did not work with the stalk controls, so i bought a single cd ford 6000 unit from ebay, £40, and also an ipod adapter cable, around £25 also ebay, that connects to the cd changer plug on the back of the 6000 unit and hey presto the best of both worlds.............
Ps there are forum threads around, if you search hard enough, that advise how to correct the problem with the 6cd changer Ford unit. That is providing yours is not beyond repair.
