I believe the red "Master" key is used to initiate "Learning mode" so the new key can be learnt. If you don't have or loose the master key however, you are in trouble as you need WDS to program them, in other words a job for Ford.

The exact procedure will be in the handbook, it's something like turn the key on and off four times in quick succession IIRC.
