It functions without issue

touch screen is brilliant
Camera is great! (HD video is also really good as is the sound quality)

But I know at least 3 other phones which will do as you suggested cheaper and do as your suggested better in all counts!
and no its not the number one smart phone of 2011, please do your research mate, it may improve its rankings due to just catching up with the market leaders, but please stop buying in to the Apple rip off!!!
