The worst bit of design has to be Austin / Morris for not using a couple of tubes of seam sealer on the floor / sill seams on the early original Minis.
However by not doing that they made twice as much profit on each car.
Actually thinking about it Austin/ Morris, B.L, /Rover etc have probably made more design errors than any other manufacturer.
