Yes the intercooler is the one designed specifically for the RS.
I agree that it's probably a crap design, as it seems to be the cause of my engine getting hot.

The fan used to kick in fine with the cossie switch, cool the engine down, switch off, then less than a minute later it'd come back on.

But having the fan on constantly keeps it nice and cool, so doesn't worry me too much - apart from the battery going dead!
