don't know if its of any help but im lining up an SR20DET engine from a nissan 200sx for my mk2 escort, 250bhp as standard with 7psi of boost, 14psi is the most that turbo will take but wind it up to 10-12psi and you'll be at 270ish with standard internals, gearbox, injectors etc etc. as for axle i'll be hunting down an atlas axle and all the goodies needed to strengthen the rear end. and a complete 200sx can be had for £1500, nice. hope that helps a bit,
