Ford Escort MK1 Track Day Car / Engine Conversion
Hi,
I am in the process of building a MK1 Escort for track day use, the restoration and uprating the chassis and body are well under way but the running gear is where I need assistance.
I need lots of help on what engine conversion route to follow !!
To ensure the car is competitive I am thinking of 250bhp + with plenty of torque, I have seen several 2.0 vauxhall conversions etc but more recently an S2000 one ?
I am in need of advice on engines / gearboxes / prop / axle / performance etc etc etc
If anyone can offer guidance, pro's & con's, do & dont's etc etc on the conversion I will be more than grateful.
