I have three tattoos, the only time I would say it hurt (and I couldn't really class it as pain) was when the guy stopped the needle to change colour, it made my skin feel as though it was burning. As for the price the guys near me charge more for detail and a lot of colour, basic designs such as tribal ones that are just black seem to cost a lot less.

When it comes to having tattoos people will tell you different things, I personally don't think that they hurt and I will have more (subtle ones of course), I'll also have more piercings too. I would warn anyone who is thinking of having them, you do get bitten by the tattoo/piercing bug.
