it only revs hard when she puts her foot on the clutch and that will shag the clutch eventually. the car has only done 40,000 on a t plate sooo could be needing it's first clutch
if the clutch is depressed when its reving it will not affect the condition of the clutch at all. sounds like its the idal speed control valve. what year is the car?
