I have tested this and the cable is connected and it does move about 90 degrees on start up.

That fault is normally thrown up when you change the cam belt inccorectly without loosening off the cam pullies, when was the cam belt last done. Could also be the sensor playing up obviously, the sensor is under the plug cover on the left hand side of the cam cover near the inlet pully
this could be the case as the belt was done recently and i have changed the cam sensor.
Is there any way to tell for certain that this is the case ?
