My mates 224hp NA Nova would slaughter my mates 3 door at everything apart from top speed, combination of lag, crappy gearboxes ( as mentioned ) and weight, Astras aren't as heavy as people think really.
the engine builder reckoned it was 270-280bhp
he spent abt 7k on the engine alone not inc tb's etc
