Blame culture is a fucking joke.
The way things are going we will end up with all mods needing TUV or similar type approval anyway,
then what next???
the family of a dead person suing the manufacturer of a performance mod because the car was potentially going faster than standard and therefore potentially had the mod not been fitted might hypothetically have gone a bit slower and really stretching the possibilities here, might have been the 1 or 2mph lower needed to avoid a death/serious injury

and lets take it a few years down the road from there.... manufacturers stopping producing performance cars full stop, not because of environment, but because any accidents involving speed and a performance car leaves the manufacturer open to court action as they hold coorporate liability by supplying a "faster than necessary" car to the public and such cars are statistically likely to be driven by more irresponsible drivers, so, at a real stretch here, by knowingly making and selling such performance cars, the manufacturer must know that doing so will likely lead to increased chance of death or injury at the hands of statistically riskier drivers in a statistically riskier type of vehicle.
and on and on...
and of course same applies to garages that fit modified parts or service modified or performance cars, by doing so and allowing such cars to be on the road makes them partially responsible....
where do you draw the line??? Its already well beyond sensible or rational so where will it end???
already ive noticed some business's afraid to expand/take on new work because there is some risk. Hell, even 3 so called exhaust specialists have refused to do me a new exhaust as its not a standard car

yet they advertise as making custom exhausts
