The 1800 block is the same as the american 1900 but with smaller pistons, so the bore walls are actually thickers, There supposed to be thicker than the 1600 aswell, I have an 1800turbo in my XR2, it was built by Ferriday engineer.
Do a search on Google for Ferriday and contact Mike, he knows the in's and out's of them. There a lot better than people give credit for.
Mine runs cossie managment, 7.5-1 pistons, T34 (.48 housing) Greens, 3bar MAP etc, It made 192bhp on just 8 psi (with a shitty run in T3 turbo), on 23 psi it's fucking mental
