RS1600i - Full, 1 piece aluminium front crossmember, thicker tie bars with slightly different ends, thicker ARB and toweye connected to the ARB clamp.
Series 1 - Cast iron 3 piece front crossmember, separate tow eye which connects to the ARB itself, thinner ARB and ties bars. All mounting points are the same as the RSi one though. Considerably heavier than the RSi.
Series 2 ARB
I'll let the pic do the talking

Rob,
Yes, it did make alot of difference to the way the car felt on the road, handled and torque steered. The standard car felt unsafe even before hand. However, I also fully polybushed the car, just a better freshly rebuilt and re-jelled diff, good coilovers and MEF TCA's all set up to Fords own Tarmac Rally car specs so it's hard to tell just how much difference the ARB alone made.
