The one pictured is NOT the type that shows the fuel consumption and range etc.
The type you want is different, the one in the piccie from memory is from a xr4i, the door ajar bit/lights out warning is the same on cossie and xr4i.
To use a fuel computer one you will need a fuel flow metre on your car, as well as some electronic means of measuring wheel rotation for distance, if not it will simply work on averages, which is how I expect the ford one works, they're not especially accurate anyway.
At the very least you will need in addition to the fuel compy the fuel flow metre/device that ford used on this, it won't rely on a fuel gauge reading for this as way too inaccurate.
