From reading previous posts on here a cam and lifters fitted together work harden together during the running in of a cam 15 mins at 3k rpm. If you put new lifters in with a old cam the cam material is harder than the lifters and will wear them quicker and vice versa.



this is the pic of my old piper cam after i changed the lifters on there own, 1 fubarred lobe rest of cam was serviceable

I have a piper cam in mine some people like it some do not its your choice.
