you can adjust the shoes mate but you have to remove the drums to do it.
get a screw driver in the adjuster mech and prize it apart a bit to move the clicker/self adjuster in a bit.
if its only just catching it will eventually wear in but might start making your drums hot and if there painted it will burn the paint off.
wouldnt of thought youd get that much drone noise from shoes catching slightly though.
even if you have no play in the wheel bearings,doesnt mean there not fooked.
they could have gone dry and just been nipped up to take the play out the wheel.
still sounds like wheel bearing prob to me mate

the noisew doest sound like a wheel bearin whining sounds more like the noise a train would make if that makes sence, (chugg chugg chugg
) faster you go the louder it gets.
