Heya,
My first post here so i hope i'm in the correct part of the forum,
My Mondeo MK3 (2001) has only one key, and it's extremley worn,
yesterday i struggled to turn it in the barrel, so i'm kinda desperate,
i'm also pretty skint, i've been quoted some stupid prices to get a replacment,
all around the £100 pound mark,
i can get a key cut without the transponder for around £12, but obviousley thats not much use as it won't start the car,
is it possible to get a key cut that is just the blade with the horseshoe shaped piece of plastic, so i can simple remove the transponder/battery part of my old key and replace it with the freshly cut key ?
or can anyone come up with an alternative solution ?
or recommend a decent key cutter in the manchester area who isn't gonna pull my pants down !
