got 3 quotes today
£250 to sort out the sill and the arch thing is the guy said no point putting in new panels on it and would be better putting a fiberglass arch in it so thats a no straight away !!
2nd was £150 inc the new arch (in metal lol) but was russian and tryed selling me a new paint job for 1100 but he aint got a oven !!!! NO again
then i went to the garage i got the new clutch as i was in the area and they test drove it to confirm its slipping and they said it slips in 4th so there going to change it for free and going to put in a new one ,,,
but he said try his mate who is retired and dont paint no more but does odd bits here and there, paid him a visit and he was glad to see a old school ford and said he cut it out and said he repair inner arch and put a new skin on the out side for £100 inc filler and making in all smooth and primmer,,, so not to bad in the end. thought i was looking around 500 but it still 100 out of the respray money
so had a good day for the s2 even tho nothing is done yet, and he cant do it till next friday after the clutch is going in,,, more time more money but will be repaired and rot free
