As some of you have been seeing my posts over the last few months I've been looking for a new motor, while the Mrs Micra has been fine while I was working in London now I'm running about Heathrow way I do need a set of wheels and I can't steel the Micra as the Mrs needs it.

So finally after months of waiting my savings of five years finally comes through. First ai was going to spend all of it on a car, but typically, as women do, she wants us to go on holiday and get the kitchen done, so it's going to leave me about 5k to spend.

Was looking at Audis, but they have shocking mileage on them for that price.

But the mother in law is selling her Mk2 Ford Focus 1.6 Zetec on an 07 plate with 30k on the clock for £5k.

My question is, is that a reasonable price?

What's the depreciation on the focuses like? How much value would it lose in say two years if I want to sell up and upgrade?
