Default Someone hit my uninsured car

Right, heres the deal. My little project car is sitting in a private car park, in my private space which comes with the flat i own. It is taxed and MOT'd but obviously as its not currently on the road it is not insured. Last night the **** who parks in the space next to hit swung his car in a bit hot and smashed the front light and scraped all down the wing and bumper. Not a huge amount of damage, and he knocked on my door all apologetic and offered to pay for it, but assuming he wants to go through his insurance, is the fact that the car isn't insured going to be a problem?
