I think it will be fine mate, essentially they are a chamber with a spring and piston to maintain fuel pressure when the engine's off and to smooth fuel flow. No reason why they wouldn't work up side down either.

That's what I thought, Rob. It's just a chamber with baffles and a diaphragm to hold pressure when the fuel pressures off. I just didn't want turning it on it's side to mess the spring system up.
