even if u bought a lock set you still gonna have to go through the procedure of paying to get the new ones re-coded as they dont come 'ready to go' even though its a brand new lock set so cheapest option is get 2 keys cut and reprogrammed for your existing locks

Not really mate.
Probably cost about 10 - 15 quid for a key and you there are places that can program a key for you.
Not sure on costs but you will have to get keys programmed if you change the lock set.
Why go to all the hassle of doing that when you can just get another key done?
cheers lads, was hoping i could get round getting a new key cut, but i kinda knew the programming bit would block it
my mates dad who works in a ford garage was mentioning some prices the other night £££, i don't really want to go to a dealer
i did phone up a locksmith and he said it depended on the key we have as to whether he can copy it or not
