Ahhh another mx engine camshaft failure, i am a daf mechanic myself based in leicester, whereabouts is ur garage/dealership? we have undertaken many of these camshaft issues, its either turbo gone, cam followe dropped valve or cam itself on these its never straight forwards hey. them mx engines are a smart bit of kit but they dont seem upto the job hey. and in relation to what somebody said about amount of oil they contain, good guess but you were a way out, they hold 36 litres of engine oil in total. bloody big things!
Im in basingstoke and yeah they do seem to be haveing some probs lol ive done a pinston and linner after one droped a valve on number 5 also did a turbo that went not so long ago and pumped so much oil in it hyraulic locked! but at least it looks like we will get some good jobs out of them as i hate just doing servicing and defects lol. Must be more to these cams going than meets the eye technical ok,ed taking the head off this one as it has to have the modded valve springs!
