Default Can you have to much oil flow ?

Can you have to much oil flow or pressure.I changed me stem steals a couple of times now,and oil still seems to seep past into the inlet and outlet.the head was only rebuilt about 5000 miles ago.Someone has told me ,because i have a high pressure oil pump ,it is filling the head up with oil,(which could be another reason i can't seem to stop oil seeping out of the gasket). When i take the oil cap of when it is running it does seem to have a lot of oil sloshing around. If this is the case would fitting an external oil cooler slow the flow rate slighty.
