Cheers Rich
There is some random carving to do on the already not very thick diff casing.
There is very little preload and only 2 paltry planet gears inside--weak.
There is a spacer for which there is unanswered questions if the ring gear spacer is turned on a lathe or ground for flatness.
And I rejected the idea years ago--1989---for the loose fit on the stubby shafts to the side gears. Unacceptably loose in my opinion..
(Now I've only been a machinist and a mechanic on race and rally machinery for 35+ years and set up between 700-1000 diffs maybe--but what the fawk do I know)
A very few guys have used these and I've heard reports of several failures, but details are, as always sketchy.
As it is a 2 pinion diff it is no better than the normal Cossie 2wd VC.
Seems a lot cheaper to send a diff off to Barra for pumping up.
But if you want much stronger and ultimately cheaper, then theres much better solutions.
