The problem is fuels been cheap for many years.
Here are some startling facts. In 1962 when i started on this driving lark fuel was 4s-10d or 24p in new money just checked, the average wage in 1962 was £799 per annum. Today that average is £25543 so petrol should be £7.67 per gallon for Mr. average so i suggest petrol is still cheap.
