School is not the place for it, wear your fancy dress costumes in your own time not while in a classroom.
It's worn underneath your vest so the only time it would ever be out in the open would be when they were going to get changed in the gym. And seeing as the law allows them to be worn up to a foot long and seeing as we should really be carrying big fuck off swords, I think it's not really an issue.

Younger kids don't really wear them wiily nilly either and most now have started to go to Sikh schools. It'd only become an issue now because people have "discovered" that they are worn, yet in the hundred or so years that Sikhs have been here in the rest of the world rather than mainly living in the Punjab, I can only think of one instance where you could say a cerimonial kirpan was used, and that was by a 60 year old who was getting mugged by some hoodie outside southall temple, he ran inside and got a sword and said te immortal line " THIS is a knife!" and then the police came along and nabbed the crook
