long story short, had the car on the rollers 4 months ago and was told my cam was worn.
got my car home fitted new piper cam (run in 2500rpm).
didnt go near the car untill about six weeks ago, when a guy got in touch with regards to buying it.
took a deposit and car is supposed to be going to its new owner first week in november.
so decided to double check car was running ok, so went for a spin, all seemed ok untill two rocker studs pulled them selves out !!!
got car home and helicoiled the studs, job done.
road tested the car again and the fan failed as got home and blew a hose.
fitted new fan and hose, headgasket seems fine / temps are fine.
BUT noticed my idle was a bit up and down, played with idle screw and idle mixture, no improvement.
Road tested it and now it coughs and splutters half way through the revs on boost. and now does not like starting when its warm also noticed a slight tap from the top end.
im really fed up with the car, can somebody please give me some advice
