I was shown a batch of pintos blocks side by side and you can see that the cast webbing is much much more beefy on some types than others, the strongest being a YB 205 block.
you can build all the Cosworth parts into them, but they aren't as strong. I couldn't tell you at what bhp/lb/ft they'd become a liability though.
im goin to disagree with ye here paul and say they are the same
there s me thinkin you knew a bit about the old fords lol
tbh i think luck has alot to do with them staying together, my supposingly strong 200 block cracked at 420 bhp
