no you certainly cant tell the difference by looking at them...unless of course you read the number on the block
302 and 331 use the same block with the same bore.
331 has an engine number relating to a 5.0
331 just has a longer throw crank and longer rods and some notches at the bottom of the bore to stop the crank catching.
