I had a look today, the pinto is totally different, and better!!
Pinto has a sprung clip on the end of the arm that goes over a ball stud.
I think looking at the original pad that is on the end of the arm that it has tang on the rear of the pad that fits in the small hole on the square platform that it uses as a pivot point, I'm just going to drill a 6mm hole and tap it in the square section then pad on arm on then spring and washer finally nut to hold together, will work perfect.
They don't float around much as there is always a slight tension on the arm to push it against the pad by the clutch cable etc on the other end, release bearing ensures it can't move too far as well.
