what failed on your ecu Karlos? I think the one i have is a later one as the case is different, i'll get some pics up.
And also, can a tach output (from the ecu) be bodged up?

You can take a tach signal from one or both of the coil inputs mate
also if you wish to run an external map sensor its possible by extending the three wires from the board out of the case, same as your throttle pot is, hope this is of help.
