So a 1300kg car with a MAM of 1800 towing a trailer weighing 700kg with a MAM of 1700kg is legal

But a 1300kg car with a MAM of 1900 towing a trailer weighing 700kg with a MAM of 1700kg is illegal

and a 1300kg car with a MAM of 1800 towing a trailer weighing 700kg with a MAM of 1900kg is illegal

etc etc

Basically you will really struggle to find a combination of car and trailer that allow you to two with on your license legally unless its a very light car you are towing
right so if i had say a mondeo that weighed 1400kg with a tow cap of 1400kg, i could tow a 500 kg trailer with a 1000kg capacity on? cars will be mk3/4 escorts and mk1/2 fiestas i'll be transporting, all under 1 tonne
