The dual mass is there for driver comfort (to reduce drivetrain judder) replacing it with a normal flywheel is the best option, you get a kit for the 1.9 vag tdis, flywheel, clutch, cover and bearing for 150 quid. have a look on ebay, the kits are readily available

I dont know if this is def true not but i heard ford realsed solid kits for everything apart from the diesel mondeo due to the crank issues. IF intending to keep the car for years you can buy a LUK one which is fine and fitted for £600
My g/f uncle is a taxi driver and has a mondeo tdci from new from 2004 and it now has 440k on it. Dunno how many clutches it has had mind you. I know it had one recently tho and he has always used the LUK ones.
